LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) adalah prosedur keselamatan untuk mengisolasi energi berbahaya selama maintenance atau service alat berat, mencegah unexpected startup yang dapat menyebabkan injury atau fatality.
Komponen LOTO:
- Lockout: Mengunci energy isolating device (switch, valve) dengan padlock
- Tagout: Memasang tag peringatan "DO NOT OPERATE"
Energy Sources yang Harus Di-isolasi:
- Electrical energy (battery disconnect)
- Hydraulic pressure (release accumulated pressure)
- Pneumatic pressure
- Gravitational energy (support with blocks)
- Stored energy in springs, capacitors, dll
LOTO Procedure:
- Preparation: Identify energy sources
- Notification: Inform affected personnel
- Shutdown: Turn off equipment properly
- Isolation: Disconnect/close energy sources
- Lockout: Apply locks and tags
- Verification: Test that equipment cannot start
- Work: Perform maintenance safely
- Removal: Remove LOTO after work complete
